We play an important role in connecting communities and industries, operating over 300 weekly flights to destinations throughout WA and beyond. These flights include Fly-in, Fly-out (FIFO) services for the resources industry, corporate charter, routine or emergency freight, as well as regular airline services on behalf of Qantas.

As we enter one of the most significant growth phases in our history and introduce the Embraer E190 into our fleet, we are now accepting expressions of interest from experienced E190 pilots for a range of Training and Checking roles on our E190 fleet, including Training Captain, Check Captain and Simulator Instructor.

These roles sit within our Flight Training and Checking team and play a key part in shaping our safety culture, supporting our pilot group, and ensuring high standards of training and operational excellence across the fleet.


To be considered, you’ll have:

  • ERJ170/190 type rating and minimum 500 hours Command experience on type
  • Recency on type (within the last 2 years) preferred
  • Minimum 4000 hours total flying experience
  • Previous experience in line training or checking on jet transport aircraft >35t
  • Experience in simulator training or checking (including Type Rating training) on ERJ170/190 series aircraft desirable
  • An Australian ATPL (A)
  • A current CASA Class 1 Medical
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6 on your CASA Licence
  • The ability to pass a Qantas pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
  • The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call with at least 12 months validity
  • Australian citizenship or the right to work in Australia / New Zealand without restriction or sponsorship
